Yoga Rave FALL 2012 US TOUR
SAN FRAN - LA - CHICAGO - PHILLY

Yoga Rave is a party like none other in the world, a new concept in fun where the body responds only to the stimulation of music, yoga & meditation. The initiative sprang forth from the Art of Living Foundation, the largest volunteer-run NGO in the world. Just like the rest of the Foundation’s initiatives, the motive is non-profit. The money raised goes to bring yoga, meditation, and stress reduction to university campuses and young professionals in need through the YESplus workshop. About the Yoga Rave What exactly is this?

Our Vision

The Yoga Rave Project will bring the spiritual element back to celebration and the way we have fun, offering a drug free alternative for our youth to gather and release their energy and tension. In the words of Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, “from the intoxication that depletes the energy to intoxication that brings enlightenment”. We envision a new wave of entertainment for young people, based on nothing but music and our mind to create an atmosphere of natural enthusiasm, celebration and joy. Our vision is to create a movement that will support all people to come together in deeper connection and celebration, without the fallout. All proceeds will go to support stress reduction for youth and prisoners around the nation.

A Fun Alternative

Yoga Rave was born as a healthy & balanced yet fun alternative. While singing & dancing along to mantras, one feels true energy, joy & enthusiasm that come from within, not as a result of something external. To achieve this experience it’s necessary to be in an environment free of drugs, alcohol & smoke.

What to Expect

At the party one can enjoy both music & silence. It all begins with some Yoga to warm up the body & continues with an easy guided meditation that leaves attendees in the ideal state to hear So What Project!’s opening chords & slowly begin connecting with the music. At the end of the night there is another meditation. The party, which lasts 4 hours, is accompanied by a bar offering exotic & energizing drinks that are completely alcohol-free plus gourmet vegetarian food.

So What! Project

So What Project! (Nicolás Pucci & Rodrigo Bustos) is in charge of the music. The duo presents an integral way of conceiving & creating music, based on vibrations & thousand-year-old mantras combined with electronic beats in addition to a wide variety of other musical styles.

The band was formed in order to provide the Yoga Rave parties with music. They launched their first album, "Smile" in November 2009, & just finished their second album "Blossom," this past winter. Their songs are heard all over the world, they participate in numerous festivals & their tracks are sold overseas through the Internet (Amazon, iTunes, emusic, among others)

150,000 Argentinians danced at Yoga Rave on September 9th, now it's San Francisco's turn!

Hello folks!

On September 9th, The So What Project! performed to a crowd of over 100,000 people in their home town of Buenos Aires (see pic below), who had gathered solely for a Global Peace Meditation.

Now the band is bringing that energy to the Bay Area for the first time! We're expecting 1,500 people on October 12th at Fort Mason in SF!

Yoga Rave is a unique, substance-free event that involves a beautifully designed four hour journey of meditation, movement, yoga, interactive live music, and dance party celebration. It's part of a four city U.S. tour and it will be one of the largest dance parties in San Francisco this year. The So What Project! is coming all the way from Argentina to visit the Bay Area for the first time and they perform and awesome blend of ancient sanskrit mantras/chants mixed with modern beats (e.g. rock, techno, hip-hop, etc). Mantras are just sound vibrations that have a specific event on the body/nervous system and the energy and connection generated in the room during the concert/dance party after yoga and meditation is phenomenal.

Plus the event will be hosted at the Divine Play AcroYoga festival and will include acrobatic jams and circus-type performances, massage/body work, face painting, NUMI Tea chill lounge, and more!
